This is my fourth...

A: John, this will attach to the small rail section on the bottom of the handguard but may be a bit awkward as it is intended to mount to a pistol. It should come with a few small "keys" for mounting to various different types of rail, not sure which one comes pre-installed but you'll want the one marked 1913.
