Received the Viper in...
Received the Viper in the usual efficient and timely manner that Bud's is known for.The pistol has a nice feel to it. There was a blemish on the right side of the hammer but otherwise it's a nice looking and handling pistol. The grips although nice looking are not well designed for the extended trigger guard. The guard slams in to your middle finger quite hard when shooting 357 ammo but somewhat less so with 38's. I had to order some full handle grips from Badger Custom and these changed the ergonomics and comfortability of shooting the gun to having a very good feel. By ordering the speed loader cut out on the grips, this allowed for all the spent shells to drop out unlike the original grips. The action was smooth, the cylinder rotates very nicely and the gun has the ability for an every day carry. It will not be as light as some of the micro guns but the feel and handling are very good.

A: Hi Brian and welcome. The Colt Viper uses the Colt New D-frame. It's a medium-frame revolver that's available with 3-inch and 4.25-inch barrels. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
