A: while occasional use of +p will be ok a steady diet of them will increase stress and wear on the gun

A: The K frame S&W's will stand 357 magnum pressures and the +P 38 's generate about half the pressure of 357's. It will be fine. I shot +P 38 loads in an old K frame I had for years in competition with no problems.

A: Brandon, The steel could come from anywhere. Whatever is available and best value for specs. But S&W does mill, stamp, grind, coat, etc all their firearms components in their ISO 9000 rated facilities. S&W meets all ASTM, ASM, and Military Specifications to meet all "Made in U.S.A" qualifications.

Q: This is listed as "Classic" and is a bit stout in price. Does classic mean its more of a display/collectors item or can it also be used for EDC and target/range use?

A: Bradley, The S&W Classic revolver line is a reincarnation of 'Classic' revolvers that they stopped making for a while then started making them again. You can EDC anything you want. I would shoot this at range, have fun with it and show it off. This firearm is not a collectible. Some of the original pre dash model 10s have some value.
