Very smooth revolver...
Very smooth revolver and fitment of parts looks very good. Finish is dissapointing. Some milky areas on the barrel and the area around the Made in USA stamp is not blued and looks bad. Will be working with Buds and Smith and Wesson to correct and will update review once this has been addressed.

The S&W model 27-9 is...
The S&W model 27-9 is a tack driver! Very accurate, nice fit and finish, blueing and the grips are amazing, good trigger pull, excellent target sights. Smith and Wesson really outdid themselves here. I like this gun even more than the new production Colt Pythons iIve shot. 10/10 would recommend for anyone interested in revolver target shooting.

Excellent revolver!...
Excellent revolver! Well built as expected and the bluing is superb. About 100 rounds so far of 38SP and 357 with no issues. With 38SP, recoil is almost like shooting a .22LR.

A: Most of the new S&W revolvers have the lock unless they specify they don't. I've have a few of these and have had no trouble with them after many thousands of rounds. Don't let it deter you from buying a fine revolver.
