Product Overview
The Ameriglo Haven Red Dot Sight (HVN01) is a 3.5 MOA red dot designed for everyday carry on handguns that accept an RMR footprint. Its clear 1.1 in lens supports quick target acquisition, while the Power Protect electronics provide 12 hours of constant-on performance followed by 12 hours of motion-activated auto-on. With Carry-Loc, you can lock out the controls to help prevent inadvertent button presses, and the side-loading battery compartment keeps battery changes fast without re-sighting.

Bought at Springfield...
Bought at Springfield Armory 9mm 1911 Prodigy 3.5" from Bud's. Picked it up at a local dealer, Purchased on Sunday, picked up on Wednesday. No problem. Also purchased a Optic green dot sight and a light . They both arrived right on schedule. No problem except due to my mistake got the wrong sight. Returned the sight to Bud's got full refund. Would go back to Bud's no problem.

Q: This would be my first pistol Red Dot. I'm very slowly and reluctantly getting in touch with the 21st century while clinging onto my 1911s and revolvers. Bud's information is more than lacking in the description of these items and there doesn't seem to be very many reviews. I know I'm not going to pay 4 to $500. Anyone out there have an opinion on this or another "budget optic"

A: Ameriglo makes good iron sights, but they are mostly unproven in the reddot game, for about $15 more you can get a holosun 407C which is a proven performer, they are feature rich, durable reliable and have a good name in the optics world. The 407C is just like the 507C but it only has one reticle option (a 2 moa dot) while the 507C has 3 different reticle you can cycle through. They both have 50,000 battery life, solar back up, IPX8 water proof rating, both made of 7075 T6 Aluminum, feature auto off (to conserve battery) and shake awake, so its good to go when you need it. A: RED DOT COMPATIBILITY
The Taurus G3 and G3C TORO pistols can now accept red dots right out of the box. This includes popular optics like the Holosun 407C, Holosun 507, Trijicon RMR, Docter Noblex, Vortex Venom, Buris Fastfire, Sightmark Mini, C-MORE STS2, and of course the ever popular Leupold Delta Point red dot.
Taurus does a great job of making all of these options available by providing not only the mounting plates for each style of optic mount but screws for each type of optic as well. This is great so you don't have to go hunting for matching screws for your specific optic, and they're also great to have around as spares if you do have the correct hardware to mount your optic.
