Had the L5 .357 for a few weeks now took it to the range twice. Haven't had a problem yet fired over 200 rounds of American Eagle. My wife fired a few rounds as well and also fell in love with the L5. Got the .357 because it holds 9 rounds, one more then the 44 mag and two more then the 50AE. From what I've seen in reviews so far it's doing a lot better the expected would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to buy one.

The purchase of this...
The purchase of this firearm is the worst decision in a firearms purchase that I have ever made! I should not have accepted it when I went to get it from my FFL because of all the metal dust and metal shavings all over it. It had no oil or grease to protect it, and when I got it home and cleaned it, swab after swab came back completely covered in black dust and metal shavings! When I put it back together, I found that that slide would flop open about a third of an inch with gravity, so unless it was pointed at a downward angle, the slide didn't seat fully forward. I called Magnum Research to find out what the deal was with that, but they said that is normal. However, two people I know who have owned Desert Eagles both said that never happened with theirs. I also found out very little ammunition actually works with this gun. The only ammo on the approved list that I could find costs $10 more a box than what I normally pay. I was annoyed, but it didn't seem like that big a deal since I can save the brass for reloads, or so I thought. I get to the range and find out that this is THE MOST UNRELIABLE GUN I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS! Out of 20 rounds, this P.O.S. only cycled ONCE! First, I found out that if I aim at even a slightly upward angle, the slide falls back and it will not fire, so I can only get it to fire if I am shooting at a slightly downward angle. However, even with that, the spring does not have enough tension to fully chamber the next round, so I have to push the slide forward after every round! I only got it to fully cycle once, and that was from practically throwing it forward in frustration! To add literal insult to this, the manufacturer told me I just don't know how to shoot. First I was accused of holding the bottom of the magazine, and when I told the guy that I don't do that, he scoffed at me and said I still need to stop doing it and to stop limp writing it. I told him that I have been shooting for 30 years and do not limp wrist my guns. He said that I must be because they test every firearm before shipping and it works perfectly, so I must just not know what I'm doing. I have never felt like such an idiot for wasting so much money on a piece of garbage that isn't worth the aluminum that it's milled out of! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE!

I like the 357 magnum DE L5. It is very light and have little recoil. Also, I am having some problems with it. The problems are misfeeding and jaming. I have sent it back to the manufacture.

A: I do not see it on the California compliant list. Under the store directory on the left hand side of the page you can find a California compliant list. Buds puts all California compliant guns under here except for their used guns. Hope this helps.
