I purchased this gun...
I purchased this gun last year for a pheasant tower shoot. The gun arrived timely, as all Bud's orders do, but I did not have time to pattern it before the hunt. I have a pump that I have used before, so I took both guns to the hunt and thought I would get a chance to pattern it before the hunt. I had disassembled and cleaned all the cosmoline and lubed and reassembled the gun, having faith that it would function I decided to use it for the hunt untested. The gun performed flawlessly and after the first couple of birds, I had it dialed in. If they had not discontinued this shotgun I would highly recommend it. It seems this was replaced with the 940 at a higher price point.

I took mine out last...
I took mine out last week and broke down and checked her out prior to the days shoot, everything looked good you would think...Started out the day with import ammo (Rio) brand. First two attempts and ....nothing just a "click". I was at first thinking "no not a NEW Mossberg "!. So I checked the primer's on the shells and the strike looked very light. I disassembled and inspected it and every thing still looked good. And yes to those of you who are thinking "just change ammo", sometimes you gotta shoot what they give ya, so after I dry cycled it about a dozen times "not nice like" I tried to cycle it as if being fired. then after that I put 2 boxes thru it and it fired every one....took home and cleaned it and will start out with some U.S made stuff "Federal" hint next time. I own several Mossbergs and I'll put a couple cases of ammo thru it and go from there...I'll try to update soon...however the gun pointed very nice and the recoil is super manageable. I'm 5' 9" 170 lbs and it fit me perfect. this would be a good shotgun for the younger shooter as far as recoil. Good luck..

A: Hi Pat, I mainly shoot Benelli or Beretta when it comes to good waterfowl shotguns. I have some friends that really like the 930WF shotgun. I'd check this model out. It includes the Accu-Set choke tube set (includes Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder) - https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/2084_37_336/products_id/90884/Mossberg+930WF+12g+3+28ACC+DUK+MX5

Q: May be a strange question for this shotgun, but is the receiver drilled and tapped to add a scope mount?
Author: Jason L.
(3) ANSWERS
A: Jason, yes Sir it is "Drilled and Tapped" for Scope mounting.
Author: James G.
A: Jason - Mossberg says this about their 930 Hunting series shotguns: FEATURES: Dual gas-vent system, quick-empty magazine release button for easy unloading, drilled and tapped receiver, and adjustable drop at comb with stock drop spacer system on synthetic models. SO, yes, it is drilled and tapped. And really not a strange question - we actually see that one quite often about shotguns. Thanks.
