Great gun for the...
Great gun for the money. The trigger definitely needs to be upgraded. One thing that got me though. This particular one I ordered is labeled as a "double/single action" when it is in fact not! It's just the normal 8 pound striker fire that's in all of the sd9ve's. I was thinking this one had an upgraded trigger cause the other sd9ve's are labeled as they should be "striker fire". Other then that, Buds is great. They sent it out via 2nd day air to my local FFL. Since I'm in Ca. I had to wait 10 days for pick up. This gun eats everything I give it without issue. Almost 1k rounds and not a single issue. The trigger pull is long, gritty, and can be slightly hard at times.

Q: Is there a list of compatible magazines? During freedom week in CA I bought random magazines. I got some S&W mags like the 3000247 15 round mag and the 3007345 17 round FDE mag. Would either of these fit in the SD?

A: Thomas, no Sir. You would have needed this : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/72009/smith+%26+wesson+19925+sd9+9mm+16+rd+stainless+finish
Author: James G.
A: Those are magazines for the M&P9 which aren't compatible with the SD, SD will take only SD, SW, or Sigma magazines. M&P9's (not the Shield) are not on the California roster for handguns so Buds' will not be of any use for that anyway.
Author: Trevor D.
A: Thomas, The M&P magazines are not compatible with the SDVE model. Pre ban Sigma magazines will work. Now that the case is on stay order can't get 16 rounder model #19925 for SDVE. Lot of M&P 9mm owners in CA.

Q: Will this handle +p rounds?
Author: Jonathan Y.
(1) ANSWER
A: Jonathan, yes Sir. The SDVE Manual says : It says "no" about +P+. --- "Plus-P-Plus" (+P+) ammunition must not be used in Smith &Wesson firearms." -- It says use of +P may 'affect...wear characteristics and may need more frequent maintenance intervals.
