Ordered a pair of...
Ordered a pair of these guns because the thumhole marlin XT-17 I ordered from Buds 6 months ago I've about shot out. From what I see from That XT-17, the 93r savage doesn't have quite the quality of machining in the receiver where the bolt rides. Still, it shoots just as well and is very accurate. Cheap 3 x 9 tasco on all 3, and still capable of 1" @ 50 yards ans 2" @ 100 yards. My 11 year old son isn't far behind that kind of pattern, so it's not my stellar abilities I'd say. Yes, the mag is clunky and rattles, no the barrel isn't mirror smooth, yes it's an amazing rifle for the money.
