A: Hi Matt and welcome. No Sir, it bolts onto the existing receiver. No gunsmithing or modification needed to your Ruger Mini-14. Fits: Ruger Mini-14 series 182 and newer non-ranch rifles only Note, this mount will not fit the 181 series rifles. Cheers and stay safe!

A: Hi Matt and welcome. No gunsmithing or modification needed to your Ruger Mini-14. Bolts to the side of the receiver with a new replacement bolt stop cover plate. The mounting rail is adjustable allowing for alignment with barrel and receiver. Includes the all important extended bolt hold open button. Features a dual locking screw leveling system. Package includes all necessary mounting hardware and tools. . For Series 182 And Newer Non-Ranch Rifle Models Does Not Fit 180 and 181 Series Rifles. . Stay safe & have a great day!
