Amazing shotgun! The...
Amazing shotgun! The ingenuity put into this combat shotgun is awesome! It can be converted to eject left or right side along with the controls! Although I wish the safety itself was ambidextrous on both sides! Very tight tolerance shotgun so I do have some breaking in to do! The trigger for a shotgun is great and has a positive audible reset though not super tactile. Biggest con I could find with the shotgun itself was changing the magazine. I know it wont be speed transition but I do wish it was easier to set in. Also it is polymer on polymer so well see how long it takes to wear. No chokes on this shotgun cylinder bore for combat so all of them pattern differently. I will hopefully be able to do a thousand round update. Overall a well built scatter gun.

LOVE this shoty!!!!...
LOVE this shoty!!!! It's what the IWI TS-12 should have been regarding the removable magazine and 2lbs lighter. Buds offered at best price on the internet. Provided great service in transaction and shipping, except Bud's picture is inaccurate, as the receiver is black rather than shown FDE, even after being assured of all FDE in communicating with Buds prior to buying. It is a hybrid bullpup/standard length design. Runs heavier 1200FPS, 1-1/8oz loads absolutely perfectly....no feed/eject issues at all. But has handled with minimum problems all three WallyWorld white, red, and blue box manufacturers cheapo loads for s&g's, Put an EoTech XPS3 optic on it. Played with loading bird, 00 and slugs in different mag tubes and selecting desired load by rotating magazine to desired tube. Worked well. The four-tube mags change out and load easily. The FDE has a slight OD tinge to my eye. It was the Gen II version with the angled receiver top both sides and had the QD socket on left side stock versus Gen I with round top receiver, no QD. Like the side reversible charging handle. Barrel is threaded externally for door breacher accessory, not included. Would have preferred internal threading for interchangeable chokes. SMR told me there isn't enough barrel thickness to thread both external and internal. For me, they chose wrong. Would buy again.

SRM 1216 Product...
SRM 1216 Product Review (Post 200 rounds fired): The machine is tight, solid, ezy to field strip and assemble, took no time to light lube preparation and work-in, the magazine use techniques and rotation was quick to learn and was consistent in function, balance was good for a gun that changes weight from 16 to 0 rounds in seconds, shooting was more a feel than an aiming process and I'm sure that is why sights are not provided with the gun, yet after 75 rounds aiming was not necessary at the Skeet Range or during Hand-Thrown Clay practice (A much better shot pattern than we expected). Top-5 things to get familiar with and recommended alterations for a more civilian applications: 1) The straight-back stock is not designed for using quick shoulder acquisition by aiming, having an up-tilt to the front. 2) The hand removal of rounds remaining in the magazine is not recommended because the center release catch is rough on fingers, and even using a plastic tool allows the rounds to spring out rather uncontrollably. 3) I recommend High-Base ammunition for heavy and HV ammunition. 4) Get a second magazine of a different color, reloading the 16 rounds takes too long, and lightly lube the front and rear plastic magazine ends along with the tube springs using silicone or plastic safe oil; then use a wood dowel to actuate each tube several times to remove burr's and spread the lube. 5) I modified the magazine to auto rotate to the next tube once each tube was empty, then it only keeps the bolt back when it encountered an empty tube, or the bolt is manually pulled back. VERY GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION FOR THE FIRST OF IT'S KIND. The extended testing will take place as part of our yearly rodent/predator extermination business starting in May 2017 with between 500 and 1,000 rounds a day, non-game-critter shooting until it starts to fail.
