The Charles Daly 204XT is a 12 Gauge over/under shotgun built for reliable handling in the field. This configuration features a 20" barrel with a 3" chamber, Rem® choke compatibility, and a synthetic stock with checkered grip and forend. For convenient optics mounting, it includes both top and side Picatinny rails, and it comes with two breech choke tubes.

Great shotgun, I like...
Great shotgun, I like the versatility of having a home defense and fun skeet gun. I had trouble getting the forend to latch down when putting the gun together, I eventually had to use a rubber mallet to set it in deeper so it would finally go down. Extremely tight fit makes breaking the gun down a pain since you need a mallet every time. The gun comes with 3 chokes along with the 2 breach chokes. Hard case is very nice. Mechanical trigger, very crisp break. Takes a little to break it in but a few trips to the range will solve the problem. I really like the quality of Charles Daly. I just wish the forend fit a little better. Thanks buds.

As usual dealing with...
As usual dealing with Bud's is a great experience. I haven't had a chance to shoot the shotgun yet so I'll update on my impressions later. The weapon overall is of great quality. The trigger breaks clean during dryfire practice, safety/barrel selector and barrel release lever all operate smoothly. Though the barrels are a little tight to open and close they should loosen up over time. I'm happy with my purchase.

A: Cody, I don't believe so as a "Chrome Lined" Shotgun Barrel is not the norm. This would be a feature that would be flaunted freely as a selling point and no reviews, descriptions or video's, even on Stoeger's website mention a "Chrome Lined" Barrel.

A: I found multiple web sites of dealers who describe this shotgun as having chrome lined barrels. However, that is not the manufacturer saying they do, so randy is correct .. you need to call Charles Daly if it truly matters to you, and find out. Get the information direct from the horse's mouth, so-to-speak, and not from someone on some gun board who thinks they know, wishes they knew, and pretends to know ... but really .. does not know any more about it than you or I. .
