Thanks to Buds for...
Thanks to Buds for their usual great service and rapid delivery to my FFL. My new Pietta Model 1873 is one of the most beautiful guns in my collection. Pietta does a great job reproducing the "gun that won the West". The fit and finish are nothing less than outstanding. The combination of the brass frame and blued steel on the cylinder and barrel is very striking. I have fired around 100 rounds, both .357 Magnum and .38 Special and the gun did not disappoint! I now have three of the "Peacemaker" revolvers and this one is clearly the most beautiful.

Questions & Answers
Q: 38 special will it work
Author: Charles S.
(4) ANSWERS
A: Hi Charles, yes sir, you can shoot .38sp from a .357 revolver. Stay safe & have a great day!
Author: Ed C.
A: yes any 357 can use 38 special just keep a eye out for a carbon ring to build up and make 357 ammo harder to chamber this is avoided by good cleanings of the cylinder walls

A: Hi Charles and welcome. Yes Sir, any .357 Magnum firearm can fire the shorter .38 Special ammunition no issue. Just clean/scrub the cylinder between cartridge changes when shooting .38 Special as there will be carbon build up in the cylinder due to the shorter case. This will make chambering .357 Mag cartridges difficult as build up gets worse. cheers and stay safe!

A: Absolutely my friend. Any revolver chambered for .357 can shoot the shorter cased .38 special. But as mentioned below, be sure to clean those chambers as carbon fouling will build up due to the shorter casing.
