By far my favorite...
By far my favorite magnified optic. There are so many good optics available these days that you can't go wrong with but I keep coming back to the ACOG. Specifically the TA31 and variants. It's not perfect for everyone but I love it. Because of the shorter eye relief I think it's especially well suited on something like a Tavor X-95, which is where my newest one sits.

Scopes like this don't...
Scopes like this don't really need any more positive reviews, everyone knows ACOG's are ubiquitous with quality and being the best of the best in their category. Regardless of that, I'll share my experience. I put the ACOG with green horseshoe reticle on my semi-auto Browning M2HB, the gun was just a bullet hose before the scope and has since made it more fun to shoot. The optical clarity is second to none, that combined with the 4X magnification I can easily and repeatedly hit the farthest thing away on my 500yd range. That may not be saying much for 50BMG out of an M2 compared to others, but hitting a 2 foot square plate at that distance with 4x magnification and seeing it clearly to me is exceptional. The design of the M2HB forces me to remove the sight from the gun each time to clean it and transport the gun, and the ACOG holds zero perfectly every single time I remove it and replace it. Recoil doesn't bother it either, 50BMG is no slouch, even attached to a tripod, but always holds zero after several hundred rounds and multiple range trips. On another note, I placed this order at the peak of COVID-19 hysteria, had to wait a few extra weeks, but BGS did the best they could handling my impatience given the circumstance, and at the end of the day I got what I wanted at a great price.

The famous ACOG, I...
The famous ACOG, I will get the first and only negative, the eye relief is horrible. I was gonna put it on a AR-10 but decided on my Tavor X95. The glass is very clear and the reticle is awesome. I do see why they tape the fiber optic in direct sun because it can get too bright. You can feel how well it is made. You know it a well made just picking it up.
