Q: At 6.5 lbs. does this rifle hit like a sledge hammer? I like the review Randy R gave and I'm kinda sold on the idea. But the older I get the less abuse I want to take... If you know what I mean.

A: It will have some recoil to it but not as bad as 338 rum or 338lapua. You could add a brake to it but you'd have to get the barrel threaded.

A: Anthony, in short, like a mule on steroids. You can look at a recoil reduction butt stock attachments called decelerator pads that will help immensely.

A: Talbert, thing about the 338 over the 375 is u can shoot 160 grain up to 300 grain out of the 338. You could take deer, up to grizzly, recoil is a bit more with the 375. If it was me the 338 would be my pick for the range in bullet weight and overall shootability, good luck.
