A: In short, you purchase a suppressor and it is sent to a class III dealer and you then fill out paperwork then wait, wait, and wait. I've been waiting on 2 stamps for about 10 months now. Here's a pretty decent article that does a better job of explaining than I could do in 1500 characters - https://www.nrafamily.org/articles/2018/2/7/how-to-buy-a-suppressor/ The article mentions silencershop which is the route I took, they have kiosks and a mobile app that makes fingerprinting and passport photos much easier. I also have my two suppressors and an SBR registered to a trust (rather than me individually) with my parents and family as trustees so they can legally possess them while I'm not around, I got it through guntrustguru and am very pleased with it. I made a typo while filling out and submitting it and the owner guy called me to make sure not even 2 minutes later which inspired a lot of confidence. All in all a good experience so far, silencershop's customer service has always been

A: Btrayden, Here is exactly what has transpired with me buying suppressors at BUDs. Put suppressor in cart. Pick your FFL that can transfer Class III items. Pay. BUDs will email you in a week or 2 to confirm your purchase. Since if your paperwork does not go through there is a 20% restocking fee. 8 weeks later BUDs sent the suppressors to my FFL. In meantime. I added the items to my NFA trust. Still not having them in my possession. If you don't have a trust you can do a one-shot form 1 to register the item with the government. Send in all your information, fingerprints, and photo. If you have a trust with other members there is the same for them.I then sent $200 per item for your NFA tax stamp. Wait for all your paperwork to come back. (months). When it does come back go pay transfer fee at FFL and pick up your items.

You can even use the following FFL Finder tool to look at the dealers in your area that we already have on file. This will also state if the dealer is a Class III dealer or not: https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/ffl.php If you don't see your dealer on this list, no problem! They can simply email or fax over their FFL and SOT. 2. Contact the dealer and let them know you would like to receive a NFA firearm or suppressor for transfer from BudsGunShop.com. 3. Be sure to ask about their transfer fee for your NFA item (typically $50-$100). 4. If you agree to their fee, arrange the transfer with your NFA dealer (we do not arrange the transfer). They will let you know if you have to do anything specific for their shop. 5. Provide your r
