A: Jeff, it will be decent but don't go over 3x power as the dot will be magnified too and will obscure your targets if precision shooting past a certain distance.

Q: I have a stag ar 15 m14 with a fixed front sight . it has a 3 x 9 on it now and i cant see the front sight but I was wondering if this dot would see the front sight or not since it is 1 x 26 . Thanks.

A: On magnified optics your field of vision gets smaller as magnification increases so the front sight post disappears from view. Since this is not magnified you will simply just see what is directly in front of it. A: James, Love this optic. Have it on a Sub 2000 using the MI pivoting optic mount. The outside diameter of the objective end is 1.5". Inch and a half diameter lens cover will work for you. One of the best features of this optic is Aimpoint mount system on optic after removing rail mount assembly.
