After purchase of this GX4 9mm, I discovered the slide catch mechanism had a defect which would not allow the slide to stay in the open position.

This is my second GX4...
This is my second GX4 that would not cycle the bullet from the magazine to the barrel. I returned the other one to Taurus and they replaced the defective parts and it works great now. I expect that this one to work great also when I get it back. Just a pain to have to send it to the factory. I wanted the T.O.R.O. model for a red dot. Make sure that you wait to order the red dot until after you have the gun or contact Taurus for the ones that do fit. My first red dot didn't fit even though it was the correct size. I like the size and feel of this model. It's a great size and compacity for IWB carry. I have other Taurus's that work great. I would have given it a 5 star if I hadn't had to return it to the factory.
