I got this revolver...
I got this revolver specifically to shoot rats in the barn. I had some shot shells that didn't feed properly in my semi-auto. The barn was infested and I got 24 rats with this thing. It shoots good with the iron sights right out of the box. I liked shooting it so much I've been taking it to the range and have about 500 rounds of 22lr and another 200 or so 22 mags. It's good and solid and easily worth the price.

Bud's was great, fast...
Bud's was great, fast shipping, great price. The gun itself has been good, but not great. A part broke inside of it and it took Heritage forever to send the paid for replacement. Beyond that, it's been a solid gun for the price.

Questions & Answers
Q: I am considering the Heritage RoughRider 22/22/M, 4.75 barrel. On Youtube I have seen two completely conflicting reviews, primarily with respect to accuracy. One guy said he couldn't hit a thing with it and the other guy said the shots go exactly where aimed. I would appreciate your assessment of this firearm, both pro and con. Thanks.

A: I think reliably speaking, it's a fine pistol. As far as aim, its at least average and certainly not below. Its a $160 plinker and worth every penny in my opinion.

A: I own a 6.5" barrel 22mag/22lr combo. I traded a 4.75 for the 6.5 due to the noticeably better accuracy. Haven't looked back at the shorter barrels since. Quality control could certainly have gotten better though. The 6.5 stacks em.

A: Distance, ammo, and handling are key when talking about accuracy. Ive owned many of these revolvers. When any revolver is made (generally) the barrel is screwed to the frame. The front sight on these are fixed. Even in the times of the old west two pistols dont shoot the same spot. This is due to bullet weights, powders and the quality of rifling in the barrel. And the fact that every barrel us hand turned and bore sighted for accuracy. With lots of employees usung various boresighters it could vary slightly. If you shoot high or low velocity it could vary more. If you have shot lead rounds that fouled the rifling it varies significantly. And once again people see sights different. My marine buddy and me shoot the same. But my legionare friend shoots it 6 inches right and down 2 inches every time at 100 yards. But at 30 yards all 3 of us blow the center out of the target. So all those factors are at play.i shot 1000 copper jacketed bullets in one of these covered in light sand over th
