Questions & Answers
Q: I would like to add a scope to this rifle for longer shots, ex 300-400 yrds. I have a 1-6 x 24 scope that i would like to use. How do I raise the picatinny rail enough to get the front iron sight out of my field of vision? Thanks!!

(4) ANSWERS
A: Barska AR Riser Mount. YouTube has a video showing you how to do it.

A: I use a carry handle with an added picatinny on top of that for my scope, that way I can still use the iron sights for shorter ranges.

A: If you get the scope high enough to clear the front sight it is very ungainly to use. You are best off replacing the gas block (front sight) with a low profile one to use a scope. You could get an AR with an aluminum handguard with the picatinny rail and no front sight. Then put your scope on and use offset AR backup iron sights which sit at a 45 degree to the scope and are not in the way.

A: First off 6x is a bit weak for 3-400yrds, in my opinion. I have an 8x on mine, and past 300 gets tricky. That said, replace the gas block either way, much better than raising the scope that far from the barrel.

Q: IS A 223 WYLDE BARREL AVAILABLE FOR THIS RIFLE?
Author: Charles F.
(5) ANSWERS
A: From Colt only the 1/7 RH Twist. There are many sources for AR WYLDE barrels.

A: Looks like its a 5.56 chamber only. I have a 223 wylde barrle rifle and the the accuracy benefit is marginal at best. I would not worry it will shoot 223 and 556 accurately! Happy shootin and good luck!
Author: Mark A.
A: the chamber will be 5.56 NATO, but shoots .223 rem too.
Author: Alex B.
A: It's not a true .223 Wylde chambering. It is chambered in 5.56mm NATO, which means it can safely shoot both the 5.56mm NATO round, as well as the .223 Remington round. However, in theory, the 5.56mm NATO chambering does not afford the maximum accuracy potential for the .223 Remington cartridge. I say in theory because my experience with this rifle has been that it shoots the .223 round very accurately, as long as I do my part. My best groups have been using Privi Partisan .223 75-grain JHP ammo. Using this ammo I shot better groups than with 5.56mm NATO with 55-grain FMJ rounds. Bottom line on the Colt LE 6920: with the 1:7 twist, this rifle has excellent accuracy potential right out the box. I wouldn't worry about it not being chambered in .223 Wylde. I don't think I would have been to shoot any tighter groups. The 1:7 twist has more to do with the accuracy potential than the Wylde chambering.

A: This model is not offered with a 223 Wylde barrel from the factory. This model will accept a 223 Wylde barrel but will require a number of other alterations in order to do so.

Q: Does it say "m4" or "law enforcement" for the roll mark on the lower. Near the magazine. And how new are these guns? Thanks
Author: Seth W.
(2) ANSWERS
A: Seth, these will have the "M4" on the lower and are of recent manufacture according to what I have seen at other vendor sites. I would ask Buds customer Service (since us community members are not Buds employees and have no inventory access) via LiveChat (available from 9AM to 9PM 7 days a week), the "Blue chat now" button at the bottom right of the page, or phoning at (859) 368-0371 (available 9AM to 9PM EST Monday through Friday).

Q: Got le6920 with cr prefix.no c marked upper and bcg.has colt cage number on upper reciever 13629.no f marked front sight.
Author: Todd K.
(2) ANSWERS
A: Todd, it would seem that "Colt" has slacked considerably from just a few years ago on the LE6920. I don't know if it's a cost savings thing or what but Colt needs to be ashamed of themselves on messing with what used to be the "Cream of the Crop" in AR carbines.
Author: James G.
A: Hi Todd, Colt is trying to save a buck.
