Description
Product Overview
The Colt M4A1 SOCOM Carbine LE6920SOCOM is a classic US military style modern sporting rifle reproduction built around the iconic 14.5 in SOCOM heavy-barrel configuration. In this setup, the extended flash hider is pinned and welded to reach a non-NFA length of 16.1 in, keeping the look and handling associated with the SOCOM roll mark and profile. The configuration includes the M203 flats and a Knights Armament rail system for a familiar, modular mounting platform, along with an ambidextrous manual safety selector.
Key Features
- Standard AR-style iron sight setup for immediate use
- 14.5 in SOCOM heavy barrel configuration with M203 flats for the authentic SOCOM look
- Ambidextrous manual safety selector for quick left- or right-hand operation
- 16.1 in non-NFA configuration using a pinned and welded SOCOM-style extended flash hider
- Knights Armament rail system for modular accessories and mounting options
If you want the SOCOM configuration feel with a Colt-heritage roll-marked style, the LE6920SOCOM is ready for your next build or range day.

This is truly an exceptional firearm and will make a fine addition to anyone's collection. I have added an Aimpoint PRO, B5 SOPMOD stock, and a Grip-Pod and believe me when I say that it absolutely turns heads every time that I take it for a visit to the range. Pick up one of these and thank me later. You won't regret it.

I carried this same rifle during the GWOT 2002 - 2006, it's exactly how I remember it. I don't buy Colt rifles, for $1,500 there are better rifles on the market but I had to get this one for nostalgia and Buds had it for great price with FREE SHIPPING. I picked up a surplus Aimpoint Comp2, which still works perfectly after 23 years. I feel like I'm in my 20's again. This is must have if you have your GWOT ribbon. Thank Buds!!!

Questions & Answers
Q: Does this rifle have the standard government profile barrel, or does it come with the barrel the previous SOCOMS (the ones with KAC rail) had? What else is the difference, if any, between this weapon and the older SOCOMS? Remove Edit

A: 16.1" Bore Chrome Lined, 6 Grooves, 1-7" RH Twist

A: My reasoning for getting the SOCOM version of the LE6920 and not the MP versions was because of the heavy barrel and the H2 buffer spring. Though this weapon is not full auto and thus there seems to be no reason for a barrel capable of firing full auto; a heavy barrel also means a longer life for the barrel and since my plan is to keep this weapon for many years to come, this is a great purchase.

A: According to Colts UPC code it has a 16.1" Chrome Lined M4 SOCOM style Barrel. You may be best served before you commit to buying to contact Colt with the UPC to verify it's what you expect. Since Buds does not open new firearm boxes, Colts contact number is: Tel: 800-962-COLT (2658) * Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm EST

A: More than likely, the barrel Colt is using is "similar" to the real SOCOM barrel, but no cigar. Google search shows that the barrel for this product is just as thick as the real SOCOM barrel minus the cuts for the M203 attachment and shares the same profile as a M4 contour after the front sight post, which again are for the M203 grenade launcher. Me personally, I'd buy the weapon if I had money burning a hole in my pocket and basically is the "civilian" legal version to the actual rifle, minus giggle switch, a 16.1" barrel, and Colt named product. To answer your question about the handguards, the description of the product states that the rails are Troy products drop-in handguards, so no on the Knight's Armament Rails. Probably there to cut down on cost, but hey you do get the Matech rear sight.

Q: The description indicates this gun has a Troy Rail but the reviews and online comments I've seen indicate that it comes with the complete KAC M4 RAS. Which does it come with as I want a KAC M4 RAS not the Troy. Thanks, Earl

A: This has the Knights Armament Quadrail handguard.
Author: James G.
A: The Troy quad rail is what is listed for certain on that 6920 rifle. I know the 6940 has a monolithic railed upper that might be what you are looking for. It's buds item 60387, and similarly prices. (If you found this answer helpful, please mark it as the "Best Answer". Thank you.)

A: Buds website is littered with incorrect/incomplete listings. They don't open new firearm boxes, which I understand, but wouldn't know if a "UTG" rail was on the firearm. The Colt Universal Product Code UPC says this left Colt with A KAC quad rail.

Q: Do you give a LEO discount?
Author: Sean C.
(1) ANSWER
A: Seam, I would give Buds a call about this particular rifle (859) 368-0371 since it is not marked as Qualified for LE Discount. There is a Colt LE6929SOCOM specifically on the LE Qualified list but it is out of stock. You will need to register as a "Qualified Professional" anyway at: https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/qualified_professional_discounts.php
