What type of ammo ok to use with the tube style magazine? Can you use FMJ, hollow point, etc.? Are there any restrictions on what ammunition can be used in it?

Jeff, Yes any 357 mag or 38 special round will safely load, cycle and fire in this rifle. You might find some idiosyncrasies with certain hollow point rounds, but you will find out. No restrictions on the 357 mag or 38 special rounds.

Jeff, new factory 357 Ammunition and 38 special/38 special +P. Just stay away from the Buffalo Bore Heavy Hunting loads here :
