This is my preferred...

This is my preferred carry ammunition in a short barrel 9mm. The ammunition is utterly reliable. The +P rating increases muzzle blast and recoil a bit in a small carry pistol, but that is a small trade-off for increased terminal performance out of the shorter barrel. The ammunition doesn't meet the advertised velocity on the box but I am shooting it out of a compact handgun and not a full / duty size pistol and would expect some velocity loss from the shorter barrel. I like this ammunition because it tends to expand earlier than a lot of other defensive rounds- which I consider a good thing as I don't foresee any conditions where more penetration and barrier penetration would be needed for the intended use of a compact pistol.

A: Hi Greg and welcome. This will work no issue for any defense scenarios. Muzzle Velocity is 1350 Feet Per Second and Muzzle Energy is 466 Foot Pounds.
