A: Shane, 185gr 45 ACP is designed for higher velocity and the lighter weight, heavier velocity usually gives less penetration. A 230 grain quality jacketed hollow point is a proven man stopper and Golddot's, HST's in 230 grain work fantastically. To date, I have not found many 185gr fmj target/practice ammunition which says a lot in and of itself. Smoke that over!
