CVA Optima is a well...
CVA Optima is a well designed muzzleloader, especially for the northwest. Being able to unscrew the breech plug and give it a quick clean after a long day in the rainy weather of Oregon Westside is awesome. The price point is great for what you get. I have this in the stainless steel but wanted one with more protection from the elements. I wanted it in the 28" barrel but Oregon rules and open sights, this gun doesn't come in that length for NW model. I looked at other brands and they were 26" barrels as well for a lot more money. Cons about it though: the ramrod is too short. The optics could be better as well. I switched mine to a peep and globe and it has worked well. All in all, I would recommend. I would give it 4.5 stars.
