I already had one of...
I already had one of these shovels, but thought I would buy a second one when I saw it on the Buds web site at a good price. This is a tough, functional shovel and it's built to last unlike some folding shovels. The handle is made of good quality wood and it's securely fixed to the shovel head. The shovel head came sharpened on its edges so it can be used for chopping. As with all Cold Steel products, this is quality built. I highly recommend it. If you're going to buy one, buy if from Buds.

I don't know a place...
I don't know a place you could get a comparable product for a price anywhere near this. On top of the unbeatable price its very solidly built. 2 heavy grade bolts hold the spade to the handle. The welds and paint on the spade are are good quality. The edge of the spade is sharpened so you can easily use this as a back up machete.
