This was my 4th set of Trijicon HD's. They are the brightest and easiest sights to see and pick up. I have been shooting for 59 years and was LE for 35 years. Q: It says Colt 1911 but is there specifically for Colts only? I have a couple other 1911 handguns I'm just curious of these will fit it.

A: Frank, these are not specific o Colt. If your 1911 has Novak Dovetail Cuts these will fit. The fronts are .330" x 65 degree dovetail The rears (Fixed LoMount Carry) are .495" x 65 degree dovetails. These Sights Fit: - 1911 Models - Commander - Defender - Government - Government with Mounted Streamlight TLR-2 - Government with rail - Officer models.

Q: I was wondering if these can be used on a commander lenght slide and where the bullet impacts if anyone has experience with them? Thanks

A: Brad, yes they can be used. Bullet impact will not be far off a standard Government Model as it will be on the same sight plane on a shorter barrel.

A: Brad, No problem. These sights will work fine on a commander length slide. You will have to hold the front dot a little high, but you will figure it out and be spot on at the range.

A: Christopher, Yes these should work fine. I know the SA 1911 Range officer has the Novak sight dovetail cuts for front and rear sight. Look at your SA 1911. If the front sight is dovetailed in on slide and the rear sight has the Novak dovetail cut these will fit.
