Description

This SKS tri-rail receiver cover by NcStar is meant to replace the existing SKS receiver cover, and it provides three rails for mounting an optic on top and accessories such as a flashlight and/or laser on the sides. The two side rails can be mounted in several positions for mounting flexibility, and they are also removable. Four side set screws allow the receiver cover to be locked to the SKS receiver for a secure fit. This patent-protected SKS tri-rail receiver cover weighs just 9.6 ounces.

Got this item and was...

Got this item and was excited to be able to put a scope on the sks... Everything I read says needs a little filling... no big deal can deal with that... However.. I have the Russian version and a little is quite an understatement. I need to file so much to make this work im not sure if i will be able to get it to work. I have filed all the back to the curves and need to file more and to be precise since now i need to re contour the curved part in the front to make this fit... Everything i read said you only need to file the tips back a little bit, i kept doing that and in reality it is the curved part that needs the filing.. This might have become a $33 loss. Because i am leery of being able to file this as much as needed and maintain the correct contour... I have not checked to see if i can return, but i would imagine since i have filed on it i now own this paperweight..

Great attachment for...

Great attachment for my Norinco SKS. As with the other reviews, I did have to file down the front pieces that fit behind the receiver bolt, but once I got it where it needed to be, it was a great fit. This is common with these types of parts on these rifles, so just be ready to do a little work when you buy one.

Looks good fits great...

Looks good fits great I took my time getting it just right and it turned out great.I mounted a red dot on it and it has held zero so far thats about 300 rounds so its been great i like it.
