This slip on pad fit...
This slip on pad fit extremely well on my savage axis and absorbs much more impact than just the factory foam pad that came on the rifle. My rifle is a 30.06 and has a very noticeable recoil. I recommend this product for any one that needs less felt recoil.

I originally bought...
I originally bought the Pachmayr Decelerator slip-on butt pad for a Winchester Lever-Action .22. It helped me see the Red Dot much better (through my-out-of-warranty eyes). It extended the length of the rifle just enough to allow it easily fit my shoulder "pocket." I liked it so much I ordered another for my Remington shotgun. Whilst poking about the gun safe I saw my 3 Beretta carbines. I tried the one from the Winchester on the 9, .40, and .45 and was delighted to find the same great results. The Berettas are quite short, the butt pads do the job. When I first bought decelerators for my S&W revolvers (.357 and .44 -- the Dirty Harry 629) I was verrrry dubious. remarkably they really DO reduce the hand "jolt" firing these high recoil arms. Recommended,
