You can look all over...
You can look all over the internet to find a leather thumb break holster for a Taurus 692, but will find a good one on Buds. It is hard enough to find a holster, let alone in left hand. I would have bought it without the thumb break, but that's a big plus. If you're the kydex generation, you may find this doesn't fit your gun or does so too tightly. This type of holster is designed to be form fitted to your gun by soaking it in water until it's soft (15-20 minutes), wrapping your gun in two layers of plastic bag plastic, then letting it dry slowly. I found I needed to really stretch the thumb strap to go around the hammer, but it snapped into place. After drying, test fit it, then use some sort of leather dressing or oil on the leather. I used the shoe grease I use on my leather boots. Also - the thumb strap is designed to go around the gun with hammer down - not under the hammer like a 1911. If you do this the wrong way you will have a very unsafe situation - a cocked double action that is easily discharged when drawn. I attached two photos. With the pancake style you can route your belt two different way. I am showing it going around the bulk of the holster and this tucks it to the body for better concealment. If you want it to hang loosely, route it the other way. I'm writing all of this because it comes with no directions whatsoever. This is a great holster for this gun and you would pay twice the amount at least to have one custom made or a different manufacturer.
