Awesome fun. I bought...
Awesome fun. I bought this because I'm Australian, and this is effectively the Australian Army Rifle. Handles well. A wide variety of scopes to go on the top rail. Easy to disassemble clean and put back together. The Non-Nato model is ambidextrous. I bought this because im a Lefty. However, do note, that if you buy this because it can be converted easily to dispense your bass to the left-hand side, you also need to buy a Steyr Left hand Ejector bolt. I say this because the manual doesn't mention this when telling you how to convert it from right to left-handed. You can see a video online on how to do this change out of the ejector bolt, it's very easy. If you go to the Steyr US based web page there is a plethora of items, you can buy for this gun. Importantly, the 300 Black Out conversion. This is simple, you by the 300 Blk Out Barrel and a 300Blk Out Magazine and your sorted. It is that simple to convert this from .223/556 to 300 Blk Out. They also offer longer barrels than the standard 16 inch. They offer different barrel twists for the heavier .223 rounds. MANY OPTIONs for the Novice to play around with. No regrets with this gun, it's fun for the whole family.

Finally pulled the...
Finally pulled the trigger on getting one of these. I decided to get the original AUG, not the NATO version simply for the originality of it. It's well made, easy to handle and easy to disassemble and reassemble. When the weather breaks I'm looking forward to putting some rounds through it. Decent price from Buds and fast shipping. Very pleased with it!

Love this rifle. Only...
Love this rifle. Only fault I can bring up is that it uses a proprietary mag, AR mags won't fit this one. Trigger is okay....it's a bullpup. Gets attention at the range. Put a 5X prism sight on it and it's great at 100 yards. That's as far as my range goes but it'll go much further and still put rounds on target. Would like to take it to about 500 yards. Hits a 4" steel target at 100 yards every time sitting on a rest with all the paint missing in the middle of the target.
