The Model 60 is simply...
The Model 60 is simply a classic revolver. It looks gorgeous. It's heavy compared to an M&P with a scandium frame or any of the other J frames. I do think the extra weight helps with perceived recoil. With lighter guns, after 5-10 rounds of powerful loads (.38 +P or .357), I develop a bit of a flinch, and my speed and accuracy falls off. With this gun, shooting 20 rounds in a row of .357 was no big deal. The three finger rubber grips help with getting a handle on a small gun like this, and they help soften recoil. Accuracy was perfectly acceptable at self defense ranges with all loads I have tried. This model is easy to clean and keep clean. In summary, I love it.

Smith and Wesson makes...
Smith and Wesson makes a first class revolver and this one is no exception.\r \r I have fired hundreds of rounds thru my model 60 without problem. The pistol is easy to maintain and a pleasure to carry.\r \r I carry 38 Spl +P ammunition in my Model 60 - Speer Short Barrel. I have found that although the pistol is a .357, shooting .357 ammunition thru it makes for a challenging recoil experience.
