LaserMax’s CenterFire red laser sight for the S&W M&P Shield (9mm) provides a visible reference for faster target acquisition. The laser mounts to the frame without replacing parts, and the activation controls are designed for right- or left-handed shooters.

This little laser was...
This little laser was quite inexpensive and I didn't have high expectations. However, it has proven to be well worth the money. I like the simple actuation rather than some grip-actuated like my S&W638/Hogue. Easy to reach the on/off, easy to calibrate. I own the original Shield 9mm which has this, now, and I'm considering buying a second one for my 2.0 version.

A: No the shield is physically smaller than the m&p 40. It will fit an m&p 40 shield but it has to be a shield
