A: YES, the GSG-16 is the latest version of American Tactical Inc's popular GSG-5 . 22LR plinker. It is based off the same internals as a GSG-5 but has a new exterior housing to update the GSG into the GSG-16. Basically same gun with different exterior design. I hope this helps!

A: So from what I've read online the GSG-5 was changed over to the GSG522 because ATI got sued By HK. So they had to change a few things to be able to sell it, so they rebranded it the GSG522. The biggest change was the sights. But the HK Store sells magazine ls for the GSG-5 (522) And in the description it says "The GSG 522 Magazines hold an astounding 50 rounds and are compatible with the GSG 5, GSG 522, and GSG 522 PK.
