Do not buy one of...
Do not buy one of these. In fact I wouldn't buy any Colt hand gun at this point. I bought one of these a couple of months ago and its been at the gunsmith this whole time trying to fix all the problems. And of course Colt was no help when I called them. I would suggest buying a Remington or a Kimber. You will pay 2 or 3 times as much for a Colt just for the name. And as far as I can tell they are JUNK. I own 1911's made by Kimber, Springfield, And Remington all of which were half the price and had no problems what so ever.

A: Hank - it's a Colt. If you don't want to pay the price for a Colt, get a Rock Island. Honestly, anyone considering a $1300 1911, and doesn't know 1911's use 'magazines' (not clips) shouldn't be complaining about what comes with the pistol. Just get yoruself a Rock Island ... and a couple of spare 'magazines'.

A: Hank, Your gonna end up buying 6-8 single stack 45 ACP 1911 magazines anyway. Once you start shooting your 1911. RIA makes a great value in a 1911 once the parkerizing wears of slide.
