First, this is a beautiful gun. The stainless/black combo is really an eye-catcher. The checkering on the backstrap feels just right - aggressive but not uncomfortably so.\r The Novak night sights are great for these old eyes, and the ambidextrous safety is made to order for this southpaw. In fact, if I had ordered it from the custom shop, all of its standard features are what I would have ordered.\r \r On the range, it shot better than I can (not unusual). First time out, I fed about 200 rounds through it of 230 grain FMJ Winchester White Box, Remington, Blazer, and Speer, as well as some Winchester PDX1 JHP. Nary a hiccup.\r \r Do I love this gun? Oh, yeah. It's a little more than I would have liked to have spent, but with this one you definitely get what you pay for, and then some.\r \r One caveat -- get yourself a barrel bushing wrench if you don't want to spend all afternoon chasing the recoil spring plug around the room when it flies off during reassembly. Those dual recoil springs are strong!

I own all three models...
I own all three models in the new Combat Elite lineup. They are all well constructed, nice fit and finish and function well out of the box. Once you run a few rounds through them they get even better. It appears that the black ion bond coating on the feed ramp can cause some early issues with some hollowpoints but as it wears off from use you will find that they will feed just about everything. Overall, I am completely happy with each and every model.
