Nice looking pistol...
Nice looking pistol and feels great in hand. Word of warning is that is has a very odd optic plate with it and optics will not direct fit. This seems to be a common problem when you look at the forums. Tried calling EAA in Florida twice and all I got from the inquiry was no or very little help. They do not sell any different plates or their FarView optical. Mine will be going to the gunsmith to have the optics put on as it might require a custom plate or a minor milling to get the optic to fit. my suggestion is if you want an optic on the pistol order it that way from the factory and save yourself a bunch of trouble.

Great little shooter...
Great little shooter right out of the box! The black on black sights are a little tuff to pick up with my aging eyes but I bought this with the intent of installing a red dot. But….. After the first time at the range, it is so sleek and smooth that I think I will just try to drop some high viz paint on the front sight and see how it goes the next time out. I own a government size 1911 and if you didn't know it you would would think you were shooting a full size 5" barrel. The recoil feels the same as a full size and it stays very flat and on target for the next round which was a surprise considering it's a 3.4" barrel. I guess my only disappointment may be that I spent the extra $$ for the slide cut and the see through grips. The other thing is you will have a hard time finding the mags for this model but ( at least in mine ) I could run my other 1911 mags through it without an issue. Overall it is a very nice well made pistol.

I have only put about...
I have only put about 200 rounds through it at this point but over all a nice shooter. I do wish it came with more than one mag. As far as the see-through grips are ,I could care less about them . Night sights would be better than what is on the gun but they are big enough to rack the slide one handed if needed and they are fine for daylight. The pad for a optic sight is a nice feature . Gun is very accurate and soft shooting for my arthritic 70 year old wrist , I love the 1911 but had to sell my 45 ACP because it was so painful to shoot. This 9mm let me enjoy a 1911 and shoot comfortably. I had no problems feeding or shooting and the buying process at Buds was painless as always .

Q: Does anyone know the "footprint "type nae for a red dot. Ordered one that said it fit and it wasn't the correct footprint.
