Girsan mc14g84 380acp...
Girsan mc14g84 380acp I bought this new and had it to the range 3 times. It came with oil in the slide areas but I disassembled and oiled everything to be sure. Very easy to disassemble after watching 👀 a YouTube video to make sure it was done correctly. 300 rounds through it and I'm very pleased how the trigger responds tightly at the wall. There were two ftf jams with flat nosed Ammo incorporated 380 Auto 100gr TMC. I switched to Federal 95 gr and Blasser 95 gr, both round end slugs and had no more issues.

I purchased this after a lot of research, and was pleased that when I took it to the range it fed FMJ range ammo, flat-nosed range ammo, and hollow points with no problem. The sights were dead center, and the trigger was smooth in both DA and SA. This will become my primary EDC.

Q: other then the slide, is there any mechanical difference between the DBA and G84 models?

(1) ANSWER
A: Hi Brad and welcome. The only difference is the "Closed Top Barrel" design on the BDA and the Open Top Barrel" design on the MC14 G84. Sames internals so basically personal preference as to which design you like best. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

Q: Can a person with arthritis rack the slide to load it?

A: Hi Douglas and welcome. I have this model, and the slide rack is moderate. I have found that instead of holding the pistol stationary and attempting to rack with the opposite hand is not as effective as a quick push pull motion with both hands that evenly distributes the rack effort between both hands for easier racking.
