Q: Will this take original hi-power mags. Will it take Arcus 98 mags?

A: Casey, yes sir, the MCP-35 will accept original Hi Power 13rd magazines. Since The Arcus takes the same magazines as the BHP, I would imagine the Arcus mags would work, but I am not 100% sure. Stay safe & have a great day!
