The IWI Masada Optic Ready is a striker-fired 9mm pistol built with a polymer frame and grip, paired with a cold hammer-forged chrome-moly vanadium barrel featuring polygonal rifling for reliable performance. Factory 3-dot sights come standard, and the slide is prepared to mount a compatible red dot using included optic mounting plates. The package includes two steel magazines with polymer base plates.

I was really happy to...
I was really happy to get my IWI Masada from Buds Gun Shop. The price was the best I could find on the internet. They didn't charge for shipping, and the process was flawless. They sent it to an FFL which is also a range and gun shop, so it was very easy for me to pick it up and fill out the paperwork. Since I am a member it was only $15 for the transfer. As far as the Masada itself, I shot over 500 rounds with no malfunctions... Anyone that wants a great firearm at a reasonable price I would recommend the Masada. It came with 3 backstraps for the grips, and 4 optic plates and screws to fit red dot optics and 2 magazines. Field stripping and cleaning is very easy!!! I will defiantly buy from Bud's again in the future....

Q: Does the Optic Plate use the existing rear iron sight when you pull it off? I was wondering if I could co-witness iron sights with an RDO, for the Masada.

A: The rear sights are not attached to the cover plate, but the rear sights that come with the Masada are standard height and would not cowitness with a reddot. You could however put on after market suppressor height sights to cowitness.
