Absolutely love this Gun, overall Great quality! Shoots like a dream, Couldn't be happier. Came in a nice case oiled up. No magazine wobble, ets mags are solid. I didn't find any burrs. I got a 9kt in the...
I got a 9kt in the 3000 serial # range. It shipped quite fast - 2 days! Arrived heavily oiled, not a problem in my opinion. Shipped with clear plastic ETS mags. So far the ETS mags have not given me any trouble, although they are completely plastic and do not even have steel feed lips. I got a few extra 20rnd and 30rnd made by KCI because I like the black look more and the German ones are expensive. \r Before shooting it, I completely wiped out all the factory oil, completely disassembled, and inspected it. I found a few burrs here and there that I smoothed out, and a few milling shavings here and there I cleaned out but overall the fit and finish was excellent. I lubed it back up per the owner's manual and ACTUALLY followed the break in procedure recommended by the owner's manual. I shot a variety of 115 grain FMJ bulk ammo as that was all I had available at the time, and experienced NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. Shot 200 rnds in the break in - followed by another 300 after cleaning. Expect the break in to take 2-3 hours if you want to do it right - I got a private bay at my range so I could take care of business and not be rushed or hassled. \r Compared to a blowback 9mm this is smooooth like butter. Could not believe the accuracy - dialed in the sight a little to the right and I was hitting the same holes at 7 yards over and over. Took it over to the 100 yard range and plinked steel man-sized targets with ease. It would seem as though they have ironed out the kinks present in the first gen production runs. I am more than happy with this purchase - this one blows the civy HK version out of the water with features and price. Get it while you can. AWESOME! Now I'm thinking about getting it's longer barreled cousin...\r Worth noting - if you want to shoot the 9KT with 147 grain or higher, suppressed, or SBR with a stock PTR recommends you get a #28 80 degree locking piece to reduce bolt recoil speed, and prevent accelerated wear. The main parts that wear out and you should have a few spares around are the extractor springs, and ejector springs. Such a sweet little package - very happy with my purchase
