A: Juan, no, the Remington R51 has not been currently approved for the California DOJ Approved Roster. (No Remington Pistols are at the moment).

A: Greg, I have followed the history of the R51 since it was introduced. The number of reported problems has dropped dramatically which leads me to believe Remington has and is addressing reported issues. I say go for it. Now, with that being said, Buds low cost Lifetime Supplemental Warranty seems an attractive option for piece of mind.

A: IF you're asking for a personal opinion, then no, I would not. I would check out a Ruger LCP 9mm or the EC9. I've enjoyed fantastic service from every Ruger I've ever owned. There is just too much history associated with this particular pistol right now, and I would give them time to get it right. Buds has good prices on the Rugers.

A: Wesley, Remington lists the trigger pull ranging from 4.5 to 6.5 pounds and trigger pull distance as 2.73 inches. Many reviews of this pistol I have read listed their measured trigger pull as closer to the 4.0 to 4.1 mark.
