The Ruger Security 9...
The Ruger Security 9 Pro Compact is an excellent choice for conceal and carry. Just the right size and a better value than a Glock 26. Excellent sights and is a smooth shooter with modest recoil. Keep in mind that if you carry appendix style this firearm does not have a safety. For appendix carry I prefer a firearm with a safety, so I would not purchase the "Pro" model. The non-pro model Ruger Security 9 has a safety and is less expensive although it will not have the night sites and the extra magazine. I only carry the Ruger Security 9 Pro in a holster (OWB) on a nylon duty belt with a second magazine while wearing a jacket or sportscoat to cover the firearm. If I were to carry the Ruger Security Pro Compact appendix style (although I will not), I would not carry a round in the chamber for an obvious reason that the barrel is facing my femoral artery and manhood. Nevertheless, I recommend this firearm as a police officer.

Ruger just makes good...
Ruger just makes good gun's and this one is no exception. This handgun came with night sights and 3, 10 round magazines and is a very good gun for concealed carry and still have well enough ammo for most any situation. I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a good handgun.
