Bought for my wife....
Bought for my wife. While I'm not a big fan of 380 when 9mm exists, this gun is so friendly for people with less upper body strength that may struggle with the firmness of a traditional slide. Fits her smaller hands as well. The slide release will need breaking in for it to be slightly easier to release but in the interim I showed her how to just pull back slightly and release.

Smith & Wesson have a...
Smith & Wesson have a real quality problem with these firearms. I purchased two, so this is not a fluke. Neither firearm would function out of the box. Charging from a loaded magazine, the first shot would fire. Then, either the case would not extract, or partially extract jamming the firearm, or eject with failure to feed. In effect, the firearm was a single shot. S&W honored the warranty, shipping in both directions. There was no explanation on the repair sheet, saying only that the feed ramp had been polished and the firearm passed test fire. I returned to the range, and the anomalous behavior described above remained. I called S&W Service - they issued a second return authorization and shipping label. I'm expecting the firearm back today, and . . . Can I trust the life of my lovely spouse to this item ? Unfit for the intended purpose. I expect better of a mainline manufacturer.
