The S&W M&P 9 M2.0 Optic Ready Full Size with thumb safety is a striker-fired 9mm pistol built for quick target acquisition and reliable everyday performance. It includes a 4.25-inch barrel and an optic-ready slide cut designed for slide-mounted optics, along with co-witness white-dot front and rear sights so you can stay on target with or without an optic. The pistol uses an extended stainless-steel chassis with a low barrel bore axis to help reduce muzzle rise and improve recovery between shots.

Very easy transaction with ffl pick up at the range I have a membership to very close to my house. Great handgun, M&P 2.0 9mm! Happy with my choice over a new glock 19. Red dot has been mounted and shoots very well so far! Nice tight groups, feels good in my hand and has a great grip. I would highly recommend a Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 9mm to anyone looking for a great pistol!

Bought this weapon as...
Bought this weapon as it came highly recommended by my co workers. I was very excited to get it and when I pulled the slide all the way back to remove the plastic shipping plug for the receiver it locked in place like it should. When I went to release the slide using the slide button it was jammed. I used both of my thumbs trying to release the slide button and still no luck. Eventually I pulled back on the slide while pushing with all my might on the slide button using both thumbs again and I was able to release the slide forward. I pulled the slide all the way open again just to have it jam open again. When I tested the trigger it feels like there is metal shavings or sand in it very grainy feeling. AS it sits I would not be able to take this weapon to the range qualifications as I work in Security and would not be able to swap mags in time because of the slide release button issue. I have since gone on line and see that both of these issues seem to be common. As it sits I would not recommend this weapon and disappointed that it left the factory this way.

Q: Unless I'm missing something, I do not see information on a thumb safety. I know the image shows one, but it says that the image is stock and is not the actual gun. Just wondering if there was one or not.
