The SAR9 Gen2 is a solid and reliable pistol overall. It comes with two magazines—a 12‑round and a 15‑round. With the 12‑round magazine installed, the pistol is very comfortable to conceal. The 15‑round magazine, however, tends to print slightly under a shirt due to its design. That said, the 15‑round magazine provides excellent ergonomics and offers a more secure and comfortable grip. Out of the box, the slide is noticeably stiff and requires significant effort to rack. After approximately 1,000 rounds, the slide begins to loosen somewhat. I also noticed that the slide is harder to rack when using the 12‑round magazine compared to the 15‑round magazine. The spring in the 12‑round magazine is quite strong, and when fully loaded, the pressure on the top round makes chambering the first round more difficult. One issue I encountered—possibly due to my own oversight—was with the optic plate cover screws. I did not initially check their tightness, and after about 400 rounds, I noticed that one of the screws had come loose and fallen out. I experienced only one failure to extract, which occurred while using steel‑cased ammunition. Aside from that single incident, the pistol has performed very well. Overall, the SAR9 Gen2 has proven to be an excellent firearm.

This is a great...
This is a great subcompact. Fits my small hands like a glove. The trigger is solid with a distinct wall and quick reset. The weapon points naturally, and is easy to conceal.
