Q: I have an XDM Elite 9mm and an XDS Compact 9mm. Both malfunctioned due to fouling of the striker at 300-400 rounds.Does anyone know if this model has the same issue? I have modified the way I clean these weapons and check the strikers regularly. This has helped, but it makes me hesitant to rely on these pistols for field use.

Q: I've seen & read a few reviews that said the mag baseplates had fallen off. However, a more recent review said this issue has been fixed. What's the story, because I REALLY liked this gun when I rented it to try it out.

A: The "standard" size most stores have is actually the medium grip module, but you can purchase the small or large separately. With each different size grip module you also get 3 different sized back straps that come with it that you can swap out.

A: Mark, Springfield Armory ships their Echelon pistols with the medium grip module. If you want the small grip module, you'll have to purchase it separately.

A: Mark, I just want to make it clear that you are asking about the grip MODULE and not the backstraps. The GRIP MODULE is the "lower" part of the weapon. Please see the Springfield Armory store and search for Echelon Grip Module. You'll see the small, medium, and large products. The small and medium grip modules have the standard texture while the large has the aggressive texture.
