Excellent fit and...
Excellent fit and finish, definitely a step up from the rest of Springfield line. It's a very tight gun. The included disassembly tool doesn't work for this gun. I had to bend a paper clip. It was a little tricky to disassemble the first time but was easier after the initial range trip. May not be the best choice for someone without experience with 1911s. Range trip was great! 400 rounds without any malfunctions or hiccups. Sights were adjusted correctly. The 20lpi checkering is very aggressive and really dig in. It came with two sets of grips: a set of g10 and a set of sandpaper grips. The sandpaper grips were factory installed. I switched to the g10 grips but then switched back to the sandpaper grips before my range trip. I just liked the feel of the sandpaper grips better and they give excellent purchase on the gun. This definitely a purpose-built 1911 and it excels at it! Highly recommend if you're looking for a serious tactical or home defense 1911.

This TRP is the total package. It's absolutely beautiful very accurate and once you grip it it stays firmly in your hands. After 300 rounds it's still very tight but has given me no issues. Worth every penny so whenever it might become available do not hesitate.

Styling is incredible....
Styling is incredible. I love the way this 1911 looks, the full rail is gorgeous. Trigger breaks like glass as most reviews describe it. Repack ammo feeds decent (Ive had a few jams on it), new ammo feeds flawless. Purchase on the grips and checkering fells great. Some reviews online said it was a bit too aggressive, but I disagree. I want a railless version as well. Keep it clean and very well oiled.
