Unfortunately, my FFL...
Unfortunately, my FFL is a local pawn shop. I did not feel comfortable totally breaking this pistol down before taking it home. So I did a quick function test to make sure the pistol function properly. When I finally got a chance to break the pistol down and truly look at it I had already passed Bud's 30 day return window or I would've returned this pistol. I did my homework before purchasing this pistol and I realize it is an inexpensive firearm but after taking it apart, I also realized that Tisas' s quality control is pretty poor. In the first picture. You can see a small dot on the manual thumb safety where the nickel plating did not take hold. Second two pictures clearly show two different magazines (both Mec-Gar). One is a polished stainless and the other is a matted stainless. One holds nine rounds and the other one held only eight rounds. Should have received two 9 rounders! But in the third picture, you will see that there are all kinds of dings on the outer edges of the grip safety. It obviously did not get a final look over or polishing. The issue is when you fire the pistol the grip safety rubs back and forth in the web thumb of your hand and acts like sandpaper. Word of advice when purchasing a Tisas! I highly recommend that you break it down completely at the dealer before you take the firearm home.

A: Hi Jeff and welcome. With proper maintenance and cleaning, absolutely yes. I store all my firearms in rust inhibitive bags and have no issues to date, even on decades old firearms finishes. https://apistoragebags.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorP8VR8uzgn4DN1Lfh3z9cOt2h6j5rRyqj1GX6UsZMkHX-9eLtl --------- Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

A: yes it is a very good finish and should last you a lifetime
Author: Randy I.
A: Hi Jeff, that depends on your definition of durable. That is a very subjective question. It all depends on how rough you are going to be with it. By many uses, do you mean shots fired, times drawn from holster, or something else. It is impossible to answer, but with normal use, it should be durable.

A: Good evening to you!! Below is the testing done to see how durable Cerakote is:
Durability Testing Methods:
Salt Spray Test:
Cerakote, like other coatings, is tested for corrosion resistance using a salt spray chamber, where parts are exposed to a salt solution to simulate corrosive environments.
Impact Resistance Test (ASTM D2794):
This test measures the resistance of coatings to deformation under impact, with Cerakote demonstrating high impact resistance, according to Acoating.
Abrasion Resistance:
Cerakote's resistance to wear and tear from friction is tested through abrasion testing.
Chemical Resistance:
The ability of Cerakote to withstand exposure to various chemicals is assessed in chemical resistance tests.
Flexibility:
Cerakote is tested for its flexibility, which is important for applications where the coated material may bend or flex.
Real-World Testing:
Some tests involve exposing Cerakote-coated parts to
