Recently I purchased a Christensen Arms MPR Competition in .308. Prior to that, I was shooting a Ruger Precision Rifle in .22 WMR. That rifle was shot using technique that was perfect for the low recoil of the rimfire magnum cartridge. That technique would not transfer over to the dramatic difference in recoil of the .308. Enter the Gorilla Bench Rest Shooting Bags. The front one rarely gets used as I shoot all Precision rifles off a front bipod (Magpul) normally. Sight in for scopes is done on a sled. The rear bag is the most common to be used and what I use in training. The quality of these sand bags is beyond reproach. At some point, I will put the front bag to more use, but in the circles I run, only rear bags can be used. The rear bag is easily manipulated to get the shot I desire at the time I desire it. The size of the bag is perfect when used in conjunction with the adjustability of the bipod I use.
